Mediterranean water peaks in September at 24–26°C — warmer than June — while air temperatures ease to a comfortable 26–28°C. From about the second week, once schools go back, prices fall noticeably. It's also excellent across the Indian Ocean, good in Japan, and the tail of the safari season. The one thing to watch is the Atlantic hurricane season, which peaks this month in the Caribbean and Florida.
