A park day is 25,000 steps in 32°C with queues, and children who are having the time of their lives right up until they aren't. Five days with pool days between them works. Ten in a row does not, whatever the ticket allows. And the second half of the answer is to leave — ninety minutes west is the Gulf coast, where the sand is white quartz and nobody has to be anywhere. Almost every family we've sent home happy did Orlando and a beach, not Orlando alone.
Two park groups, and one thing that isn't a park at all.
Four parks. Be at the gate thirty minutes before opening — the first two hours are worth the rest of the day combined.
Two parks joined by the Hogwarts Express, which needs a ticket for both. Express Pass is free with the top hotels and changes everything.

Not a joke. Every third day off the parks is what keeps the week enjoyable, especially with under-tens.
November to March, ninety minutes north-west. Snorkel with wild manatees — the only place it's legal.
Ninety minutes west. Clearwater, Siesta Key or Anna Maria. The half of the holiday that does the recovering.

November to April. Summer is hot, wet and inside hurricane season.
Late October to April gives comfortable temperatures and lower humidity. June to September is 33°C with a daily afternoon thunderstorm, and September is the peak of hurricane season. Park queues track the American school calendar, so avoid Thanksgiving week, Christmas, spring break in March and the whole of July.
